Do you offer a FREE Consultation?

Yes. We will evaluate your debts and income and how we may be able to help you. We will explain how budgets work for you and discuss various alternatives to help you with your problem, such as showing you, in some cases, how to contact the creditors on your own to lower payments. We will inform you how to obtain a free credit report and how to understand it. We will suggest some relevant brochures and periodicals that will help you become more aware of the root cause of your financial problems. We may also advise you of the features and benefits of our debt management program. We will answer all of your questions regarding your credit or debt issues, all at no charge to you.

How will a debt management plan, if enrolling is beneficial, affect my credit?

We do not report to the credit bureau. Your creditors report your payment history. Your credit score and payment history depends on whether payments are made to your creditors on time and in full. Once you are on a debt management program, it is still your responsibility to make your payments on time and in full. We help you along the way to fully understand the importance of this and to help you get out of debt, while strengthening your payment history.

Shouldn't I just try to get a loan?

Why borrow more money at a high interest rate, when that’s part of the problem already? Although there may be some temporary relief, our program is much better. Remember, we are helping you learn how and why you got in to a financial problem in the first place. Our programs are designed to, not only get out of debt, but also teach you ways to avoid repeating this problem again.

Do you charge an interest rate on your Debt Management Plan?

We are NOT a loan company. Therefore, we don’t charge any interest. We are a non-profit organization. There is a small charge to set up the debt management plan with your creditors and a minimal monthly maintenance fee.
